Do you remember registering your phone number on the Do Not Call Registry website a few years ago? Well, your registration is only effective for 5 years, so now is the time to re-register your phone number(s) so those pesky telemarketers can't call you! For more information on the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) National Do Not Call Registry program, visit the FAQ site. To dispel rumors of telemarketers calling your cell phones, the FTC released a statement explaining how Federal Communications Commission(FCC) regulations "prohibit telemarketers from using automated dialers to call cell phone numbers". Phew!

Hurricanes, Petraeus, and Benchmarks, Oh My!
What a month September has been...Hurricane Humberto sprang up suddenly and struck the coast of Texas and Southwest Louisiana, General Petraeus and Ambassador Crocker release their reports on the progress of the surge operations in Iraq, and several reports state that Iraq has failed to meet half of their benchmark goals.
