Guide to Members of Congress

The Government Printing Office created an online guide to House and Senate members of the 110th Congress. It can be accessed at http://www.memberguide.gpoaccess.gov/. Basically, it's the online equivalent to using the print versions of the Congressional Pictorial Directory, Congressional Biographical Directory, and soon they will add information from the Congressional Directory. You can search by name, state, district, party affiliation, etc.

A simple search for the state of Louisiana will bring up a list of our two Senators and our seven Representatives. Click on their names to see their photo and a link to their biographical information. I just wish they had a link to their websites but perhaps that will be feature they will add in the near future.

By the way, I recently got married (one reason for my lack of posts as of late!) and changed my name from "Rebecca Troy-Horton" to "Rebecca Blakeley". I will miss being the only Troy-Horton in the world (and all Google results for my name were truly about me!) but Blakeley sure is a swell name. ;-) And it didn't even take that long to get my new Social Security card. Phew!
